Day by Day came into my life at just the right time. Their professional, thorough care allowed me to stay safe & healthy in my own home while I waited for a hip replacement surgery. They treated me with kindness and respect every day. It gave me and my family peace of mind to know the Day by Day staff was there for me taking care of everything from watering my plants to assisting me with bathing & dressing. I am grateful for their loving care.

I, and my entire family, could not have been happier with the care that Day by Day Nursing provided my mother from October 2019 until she passed in July of 2020.

The company’s owner, Angie Jimenez, was referred to me by a friend (a caregiver, herself, though not employed by Angie) shortly before my 91yo mom was to be released from rehab after hip surgery. Within hours of our meeting, Angie had a caregiver lined up for us who we were able to introduce to Mom while she was still in the rehab facility. Within days, Angie had assembled a full 24 x 7 team of the most extraordinary, skillful, caring, and compassionate caregivers for whom we ever could have hoped.

Angie managed all aspects of Mom’s care, ensuring that we always had coverage when a caregiver was ill or on vacation — and even during the earliest and most difficult-to-navigate Corona Virus pandemic. When needed, Angie had ready referrals to other professionals (foot-care, massage, etc.) required to make Mom’s last year as dignified and comfortable as possible.

Day by Day Nursing was easily the most reliable and stable aspect of what was a very difficult time for Mom and for our entire family. For that we are all grateful.

Since August 2022, Day By Day has provided care for our mom after a fall and hip replacement. Based on Day By Day’s reputation, we contacted Angelina who promptly arranged for Susan and Claire to be mom’s caregivers upon her discharge from rehab. It did not take long for our family to see and appreciate the quality care our mom received.

Our mom fully recovered and recently celebrated her 100th birthday in good health. We have continued the caregiving because of the difference it makes in the quality of her life. The bond our mom shares with Susan and Claire is genuine and we cannot imagine her life without them. They care for her like their own mother and provide her with a wonderful quality of life, personalized care and loving companionship. Our family has complete trust in Susan and Claire and embrace them as part of our family.

Day By Day Nursing has been providing us home and nursing services for the past 2 years. They came highly recommended by the manager of our local WaFd Bank office. I cannot say enough good about their services. Everyone that has been dispatched to our home is efficient, reliable, knowledgeable and caring. They help with nursing duties for my husband and domestic services like laundry and housekeeping to assist me. I have benefitted greatly from our relationship and am happy to provide references if requested. It is difficult in today’s environment to find companies and individuals one can rely on –Day By Day is certainly one of those.

My family has a senior family member who has been in declining health. He is definitely cantankerous and does not like having to have assistance. He is the type of senior who would fire a care giver for drinking their soft drink out of a can rather than a glass.

Angelina runs her service so well. She has a broad variety of care givers who are well trained and extremely pleasant. They are supportive and courteous to the person being cared for and work well with families and friends who may be visiting.

In one instance (over the course of a long summer) Angelina had one caregiver who made a caregiving misstep. Angelina addressed this issue right away in a positive and open manner. We were so appreciative.

Our cantankerous senior provided many challenges which Angelina and her team met and overcame. We were so pleased with this service.

Dear Dr. Angelina,

Due to the ongoing 24/7 care for my wife that I am grateful to offer, the past four years are getting consistently more difficult. It was you who noticed I was literally shortening my life span by the rigorous and demanding care for her. Since then, you provided in-home care for her as necessary.

Seven months ago I suffered a heart attack that resulted in a quadruple open heart surgery. Not only did you arrange for the surgeon and the facility, you personally were there to encourage and check me along the way. Following the release from the medical center, you saw me home safely, set up my medication with the caregivers already on site to care for my ailing wife, and detailed the regime I must follow for recovery. Your continual focus on being sure I had the proper exercise, diet and rest was amazing to me! The attention to detail and assurance all was well, was much appreciated.

Then, here is even more: I was forbidden to drive after the surgery. Who should appear to take me to my appointments, a representative from your firm, to be sure I received proper transportation and care.

I did not seek this service; you felt it was necessary, and it was indeed. Following the open heart surgery, it was discovered that I indeed had cancerous growth on my right lung and brain. Fortunately for me, you felt it necessary you be there for the appointments, as I was devastated by the announcement of the cancer.

Your service did not stop there, leaving me in quandary as what to do next? Instead, you stepped up and exclaimed we were going to beat this too! It has been four months now, and after you found the best Oncologist to offer, I am in his care. Your generosity and dedication to my personal care is often overwhelming to me! Still you continue to accompany me to my appointments to review the test result with the other doctors, reporting to me the parts I do not have the background to understand.

When I report to my four adult children that Dr. Angelina goes to my appointments they are so relieved as they have developed such respect for her. They, like me, are so thankful for her willingness to continue in her care for me, even though I may not beat the cancer, yet she will not give up on my case.

Where can you find concern and care such as this in this day and age within our current health care system? No where I have found!
